But stop talking Froggies and let’s focus on this series ! Introduced on the French television in 2011, “The Blood Of Vine” is an adaptation of the books of Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen, and features the investigations conducted by the eminent French oenologist Benjamin Lebel (Pierre Arditi) and his assistants after murder in the wine community. And what is pleasant in this series is the fact that each episode take place in our most famous vineyards ! Bordeaux, Alsace, Loire, Corbières, Cahors…
Pierre Arditi which is a true passionate of wines enjoy to play the role for sure !

“While Benjamin Lebel is preparing his new guide to Bordeaux, the Barbaroux commander interrupts his work. The day before, the lifeless body of an octogenarian was discovered with setting unusual scene. Next to the corpse was laid a glass full of wine and eleven other empty glasses. The commander asked Benjamin to inform him terroir and vintage of this wine… “

The last episode: « Cahos in the Dark Wine » features Pierre Arditi investigations in the region of Cahors, where you can find very deep colour wines !
And precisely we were there this weekend with all the classmates and we had the opportunity to taste “Le Sang de la Vigne” the wine ! ! A wine initially claimed to a young Cahors winemaker, by the two author of “Le Sang de la Vigne” the book ! And which have been ranked 80° on the Top 100 World wines by the “Wine Enthusiast” !
This region have delicious “terroir” and the dark, black silky malbec wines they produce there, like this one, are delicious to taste ! And trust us we had tasted a lot this weekend!
Here is the Malbec lounge, were a scene of the show take place and where you can find a very large and representative Cahors wines to taste ! Some of them are really amazing and moreover cheap !
So if you have some times and that you want to move a while of Bordeaux, you should visit Cahors and this place ! There wines are very pleasant and the place is quite charming, and only to two hours and a half of Bordeaux ! Have a nice trip !
